Newer versions become available all the time, so it may be worth checking the original sites as well.
These are all legal versions of the programs, some may need you to register to use them.

This is a removal tool for SMITFRAUD virus/spyware. Download and unzip the file, then run 'Smitfraud.exe' which extracts the contents. Extract them to a NEW folder on your desktop. Restart your pc in SAFE mode (F8 at start-up), log in as your normal user, then open the Smitfraud folder on your desktop. Double click on 'RunThis.bat' and follow the instructions (Should be fairly self explanitory) After this restart your pc in safe mode and run - SpyBot, Adaware and whatever anti-virus program you use. Then run HighJackThis (download from lower down on this page), run it, save the log file and send it me to check your pc is clean. |

To get new updates you need to install version 1.4 as version 1.2 and 1.3 stopped allowing updates ages ago.My advice is to use BOTH Ad-Aware AND SpyBot to give maximum protection |

Very powerful tool for finding rogue start-up entries caused
by virus's and spyware. Extract contents to a NEW folder and run the program from there. CAUTION IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE THIS PROGRAM THEN RUN IT AND SEND ME THE LOG FILE, I WILL THEN TELL YOU WHAT TO GET IT TO DELETE. DO NOT GO TICKING ALL THE BOXES AND DELETING ENTRIES - IT WILL MESS UP YOUR PC !!!!! |
| Pop Up Stopper | Kills all those annoying pop up windows. Only works for Internet
Explorer - Not AOL. * Updated March 2007 * Version 3.1 is now out. You DO need to uninstall old version first. To allow genuine pop ups hold the shift key then click on the link you want. If you get a blank page with a Javascript error then close the page and re-click on the link but this time hold down the Ctrl key. |
